October 26th ♥ 野村義男 (Nomura Yoshio)Yocchan joined the agency in February 1977. He started as a folk artist before joining under his sister influence. He was scouted by Johnny-san who was walking near Yoyogi Park with Kawasaki Mayo and found him playing guitar there. During his junior days he was part of unit Johnny’s Shounendan, until he became part of dai-senpai unit Tanokin Trio with MATCHY and Tahara Yoshihiko, mostly focusing in acting, including roles in Kinpachi Sensei and a number of dramas.
In 1983 his debut as member of the agency’s first band THE GOOD-BYE was decided. In this group he participated as guitarist and vocalist. Until 1990, when THE GOOD-BYE disbanded and he switched agency. Pursuing both solo and group career.
To this day, he is still one of the most respected guitarist not only for the agency but japanese music scene. He taught Otokogumi members Okamoto Kenichi and Narita Shouji how to play the guitar before their debut.
